Navigate the settings area and understand the configuration options available for your church.

Accessing Settings

Click Settings in Navigation

From any page, click Settings in the main navigation menu (gear icon).

Settings Tabs

Settings are organized into tabs. Click any tab to access its options:

General Information

Update Church Details

Click the General tab and update your church's core information:

  • Church Name: Your official church name
  • Address: Physical location for maps and directions
  • Phone: Main contact number
  • Email: Primary contact email
  • Website: Your church's website URL
  • Denomination: Optional denominational affiliation
  • Description: Brief description for your public profile

Branding & Appearance

Customize Your Branding

Click the Branding tab to personalize your church's appearance:

Logo Upload

Upload your church logo in PNG or JPG format. Recommended size: 400x400 pixels with transparent background.

Color Theme

Choose colors that match your church's brand:

  • Primary Color: Used for buttons, links, and accents
  • Secondary Color: Used for backgrounds and highlights
Tip: Choose colors with good contrast for accessibility. Dark text on light backgrounds (or vice versa) ensures readability for all users.

Favicon

Upload a small icon (favicon) that appears in browser tabs. Recommended size: 32x32 pixels.

Saving Changes

After making changes on any tab, click Save to apply your updates. Some changes (like branding colors) may take a moment to propagate across the platform.

Communication Settings Admin

Configure email and SMS settings, notification triggers, and communication budgets.

Email Configuration

Access Communication Settings

Go to Settings > Communication to configure your messaging options.

Email Provider

FaithfullyGiving handles email delivery automatically. Configure these options:

  • From Name: Name that appears in emails (e.g., "First Baptist Church")
  • Reply-To Address: Email address for replies
  • Email Footer: Custom footer text for all emails

SMS Configuration

SMS text messaging allows you to reach members instantly:

SMS Sender ID

Your church name or number that appears as the SMS sender. Note: Some carriers may display a generic short code instead.

SMS Budget

Set a monthly budget for SMS messages to control costs:

Set Monthly SMS Budget

Enter your maximum monthly spend for SMS messages. You'll receive a warning when approaching the limit.

SMS Pricing

SMS messages cost approximately $0.0075 per message segment. A standard message is up to 160 characters.

Notification Triggers

Configure which events automatically send notifications to members:

Available Triggers

  • Giving: Donation receipts, recurring gift reminders, statement availability
  • Events: Event reminders (1 day, 1 hour before), RSVP confirmations
  • Duties: Duty assignment notifications, reminder before scheduled duty
  • Members: Welcome messages for new members, birthday greetings
  • Groups: Group invitations, meeting reminders
  • Prayer: New prayer request notifications for group members

Toggle each trigger on/off and select which channels (Email, SMS, Push) are used.

Message Templates

Customize the content of automated messages:

Edit Templates

Click Edit Template next to any message type to customize the subject, body, and tone.

Templates support variables like {{FirstName}}, {{EventName}}, and {{Amount}} that are automatically replaced with actual values.

Tip: Personalized messages with the member's name have higher engagement. Use {{FirstName}} at the beginning of messages when possible.

AI & Recording Settings Admin

Configure AI features, Recording Studio, model selection, and cost management.

Access AI Settings

Go to Settings > AI Features to configure AI capabilities.

AI Bot

The AI Bot helps with content generation throughout the platform:

  • Enable AI Bot: Toggle AI assistance on/off for your church
  • Bulletin Generation: AI-assisted bulletin creation
  • Devotional Writing: Generate daily devotionals
  • Email Drafting: AI-powered email composition help

AI Model Selection

Choose the AI model for content generation:

GPT-4o Most capable, best quality Complex content, study guides
GPT-4 Turbo Fast, good quality General use, quick generation
Claude Nuanced, thoughtful Theological content, devotionals

Recording Studio Settings

Configure Recording Studio

Go to Settings > Recording Studio to manage recording and transcription settings.

Feature Toggles

  • Enable Recording Studio: Show/hide Recording Studio in the menu
  • Auto-Transcribe: Automatically transcribe new recordings
  • Auto-Generate Content: Automatically generate selected content types

Default Content Types

Pre-select which AI content types to generate for new recordings:

  • Outlines
  • Summaries
  • Key Points
  • Discussion Questions

Cost Management

Set Monthly Budget Cap

Enter a maximum monthly spend for AI and transcription features. When reached, these features are paused until the next billing cycle.

Cost Breakdown

  • Transcription: $0.02 per minute of audio
  • AI Content: ~$0.04 per content type generated
  • AI Bot Assistance: ~$0.01-0.05 per interaction
Example Monthly Cost

A church with 4 weekly sermons (30 min each) transcribed with 4 content types each would cost approximately: (4 × 30 × $0.02) + (4 × 4 × $0.04) = $2.40 + $0.64 = $3.04/month

Usage Alerts

Enable email alerts to notify administrators when usage reaches:

  • 50% of monthly budget
  • 75% of monthly budget
  • 100% of monthly budget (features paused)

Subscription & Billing Admin

Manage your subscription plan, billing information, and view usage statistics.

Viewing Your Plan

Access Subscription Settings

Go to Settings > Subscription to view your current plan details.

Plan Information

View details about your current subscription:

  • Current plan name (Free, Standard, Premium)
  • Monthly/annual pricing
  • Included features
  • Usage limits and current usage
  • Next billing date

Changing Your Plan

Upgrade or Downgrade

Click Change Plan to view available plans and make changes.

Upgrading

When you upgrade:

  • New features are available immediately
  • You're charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your billing cycle
  • Future bills reflect the new plan price

Downgrading

When you downgrade:

  • Changes take effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You retain access to current features until then
  • Data is preserved, but some features may become read-only
Note: Before downgrading, ensure you're not exceeding the limits of the new plan (members, storage, etc.). Contact support if you need help migrating data.

Billing Information

Update Payment Method

Click Update Payment to change your credit card or billing details.

Billing History

View and download past invoices:

  1. Scroll to the Billing History section
  2. Click any invoice to view details
  3. Click Download PDF for your records

Usage Statistics

Monitor your platform usage:

Tip: Review usage statistics monthly to ensure your plan meets your needs. If you're consistently approaching limits, consider upgrading before you hit them.
